At some stage in a project there may be a request from the Project Sponsor or higher to chase savings. This could be done by a number of severe or not so severe solutions or just a bit of fine tuning.
Value engineering is a systematic method to improve the "value" of goods or products and services. Value can be controlled by either improving the function or reducing the cost. Project teams are often asked to continue to improve on spend by reducing costs where they can.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the challenges that project teams can face when asked by their Leadership to produce savings once the project is underway.
