All stakeholders in the project, from the CEO to the cleaner, have a responsibility to not act or instruct others in any way that could cause potential risk to anyone who is part of the overall project including staff and passers-by.
In order to be OH&S compliant, every project will identify requirements and establish guidelines to follow. These guidelines come from the OH&S/WHS representative who liaise with all key stakeholders throughout the project’s lifecycle.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the role of the OH&S/WHS representatives, the policies and guidelines to be observed throughout the relocation project, the project workplace risks, and the importance of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).

There is more to procuring the right company than just knowing their brand identity. Things such as removalists capabilities, size and age of company and staff capabilities/qualifications are important considerations to make.
Removalists provide a range of logistics services, and ideally project management services as well. The best removals providers will offer project management services and be upfront about their procedures to execute a well organized removals process.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the capabilities of the removalist provider based on the structure and complexities of the relocation.

Post relocation, the relocation committee will continue to meet until all outstanding issues are closed out.
The final relocation committee meeting will review and debrief on how the relocation project was received and include ‘lessons learned’ from each stage of the project as well as financial closures.
‘Lessons learned’ during the relocation should include all aspects of communications, risks, scheduling, procurement, costs, quality, security and OH&S.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the possible outstanding issues at the end of the relocation and how this important team will review and debrief on how the relocation project was received.

A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can easily be accessed, managed, and updated.
A relocation project may have many databases in use to control and monitor performance, scope and inventory, including the relocation churn sheet and the move champion database.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of how to interpret between a database that directs and manages the work opposed to one that monitors and controls performance and people.

There will be opportunities to seek further information, be it clarification or justification through any formal or informal channels during the course of working with the business units.
The business units involved in providing information must understand the communication protocols for releasing/distributing the information and the subsequent creating, securing, and storing of documents the information may trigger.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the interaction between the project manager and the different business units, and how to construct relocation documents to be distributed to project stakeholders.
