The FM will ensure good project governance by defining roles and responsibilities of their team in a ‘project state’ and provide the Project Director the name of a delegate in the event of their absence (think annual leave here!). This delegate will attend project working group meetings, and approve any project stage gates in the FM’s absence. They may support all space planning, modelling and relocation requirements and to do this will be kept across project updates.
There are many Workplace Services deliverables which will need to be understood and negotiated, and managed by the FM and their Workplace Services team.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the role of the FM and their team and how important they are to the successful introduction of service into the new work environment.

Before the fit out starts, Site visits start. If you have the time and budget, a Site Visit Program is worth the effort.
There are two types of Site Visits you can organize. The first for the Leadership teams and then the more frequent Site Visits for the employee groups.
It’s really powerful to show the Leadership Team and employees the new building and where they will work in the future. Some people have difficulty in seeing the big picture, so a way to show that things will be different, and how they may be different is important.
The Project Control Group may have a Design Presentation at the new building, the Leadership Team may have an Open House event with a further presentation and the remainder of the staff may have a floor walk and virtual tour of the future bells and whistles.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of a structured Open House and Site Visit.
