The Workplace Strategy team will uncover key organizational themes. It will be done by discovery of systemic knowledge; through strategic engagement with key stakeholders; networking (both with external and internal stakeholders/including vendors in some situations); discovery and observation of cultural context process and structural context.
These organizational themes, in addition to any findings, will be translated into a design.
It is not unusual for some themes to be overlooked due to the client project team not focusing on the implementation yet, and therefore the larger and more costly or time consuming themes may get the attention, ie. agility in the workplace that dictates the design elements and cost elements of the project.
It is the job of the Change Manager later on in the project to do a full review of the findings from the Workplace Strategy discovery and find out what the major themes are that they will socialize and hold carriage of through the implementation period.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of how workplace themes are endorsed for the Change Program.

After the organization has the Workplace Strategy Briefing Activities complete, they will have the findings of the Engagement Process that included: Leadership Workshops, Functional Interviews, Employee Surveys, Visioning Workshops, and Site Visits and Workplace Tours.
The Workplace Strategist/Design Team will be able to integrate known Workforce Forecasting in with the Spatial Principles developed from this 6-8 week period and have now the first stage of the Design Process complete. This will enable them to provide a great deal of information on workforce forecasting, meeting project objectives, a neighborhood Growth Strategy, Space Budget Baselines, and Spatial Principles. In short, a Workplace and Occupation Strategy that can now be endorsed and socialized.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of what the outcomes of the Workplace Strategy may be and how the Property Lead or Project Director should communicate to the PCG.

Students will gain an understanding of how the workplace themes are determined and transferred into service. This course provides a specific focus on the processes in socialising and delivering the workplace themes in terms of people, process and places.
Be proactive when thinking about real estate, even in the distant future. It’s challenging to find the right space, and teaming up with a good, experienced team of consultants is necessary to make a good decision in time.
Tenant Representatives need to capture as much detail as they can before they commence premises sourcing for their client. Their expertise is undoubtedly transactional and is solid across many facets of the commercial real estate realm, however dependent upon their exposure to larger clients and projects, workplace strategy and space planning techniques may be quite unfamiliar to them. For this reason, the Tenant Rep will either attend or touch in with a workplace strategy team or any other consultants (like the space planner) who may be engaged to do this work and find out how the work is being undertaken and what it is yielding.
A space needs analysis is best done by first understanding the process flow of the company, however, the results are not solely based on the spaces from the existing spaces in the workplace because sometimes needed spaces may be redundant or non-existent in the existing workplace. Always refer to the clients and stakeholders and check if they have some extra requirements in mind for their future workplace.

Students will gain an understanding that there is Building Code that applies to the building they work in and that governs the occupancy load of floors, and why adhering to these regulations can save lives.
Students will gain an understanding of the journey from where the Workplace Strategy team informs the recommendations that make it into the Workplace Strategy report and explores the themes that are discovered from the engagement/exercises through to implementing the workplace changes.
